The year 2017
UNIGATE partnered with Bollore Transport & Logistics to co-found Bollore Transport & Logistics Somalia (BTLS), which aims to improve Somalia’s freight forwarding market.
The year 2018
The company enhanced its shipping capabilities by signing the liner agency agreement with Maersk in collaboration with BTLS.
The year 2019
The company started managing diplomatic cargo for high-profile embassies, including the US, UK, Italy, and Finland embassies.
The year 2020
UNIGATE acquired an Aramex franchise, transforming courier delivery and boosting online shopping platforms for the people of Somalia.
The year 2021
UNIGATE has formed a strategic partnership with G4S to enhance our integrated security services and ensure the highest standards of safety and protection for our clients.
The year 2022
UNIGATE’s logistics division has been rebranded as Maersk Somalia Ltd. through a joint venture with A.P. Moller Maersk Group to provide integrated ocean logistics and supply chain solutions.
The year 2023
UNIGATE partnered with Dubai-based BEINIT Energy to launch BEINIT Energy Somalia LLC, tapping into Somalia’s oil and gas potential market.
The year 2024
UNIGATE launched the NOVOGATE Hotels & Residences project in Mogadishu Airport, introducing a 150-room facility with premium accommodations, conference halls, and standalone villas. The project will be completed in 2026.
